Never Give Up!

In life we are often faced with unplanned situations which can be both positive and negative. However, I will focus on the negative ones such as dealing with difficult individuals, loss of job, illnesses etc. There are so many ways in which things can go wrong. These circumstances can often be stressful and discouraging. In fact many individuals on their quest to success often give up when presented with this type of situations. Well, if this is your current state or have experienced this in the past; do not give up!

No matter what happens there is always a way to accomplish your goals. While been stressed out sometimes we focus so hard on the negative situations that we overlook the positive things. So, when going thru this unexpected changes keep your cool and re-trace your goal. Write it down and the steps you must take to get there and, last but not least set a reasonable timeframe in which you must accomplish your goal.

I know that sometimes life throw us curves that are really difficult to overcome. However, no dream should ever be impossible and if you think that the time to get to the top would take too long; remember that life itself is compose of many moments together. Therefore, if you stay calm and take one step at a time you will be able to conquer your dreams.

No one said that life was going to be easy! Can you imagine what would have happened if many of our important individuals from the past such as inventors, politicians etc. would have given up? Where would we be today as a society then? So, leaving you with this in mind, just remember; never give up!

Be Mindful of What You Put in Your Memory Bank

Esop’s Fables are a great Memory bank for me. Each story had a moral of great importance. No one reads these delightful and poignant stories anymore. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Whoever coined this phrase is a genius. Life finds ways to dish out exactly this- the good the bad and the ugly. At times all in one day.Optimists tend to see the good, the beautiful and the positive. Let the negativities slide off, like a drop of water on a waxed surface. Let it go. Life is too short to spend in misery. Believe in the ...

Purpose in Life

"God saw all that He had made, and it was very good." (Genesis 1:31 NIV).I have a tattered old booklet titled Is Life Worth Living? by J. Walter Rich. Tranquility

It’s all in the mind- your mind. It‘s not brought about in an instant by serene surroundings, nor by the sound of soulful music, nor the beauty of summer blooms. The most luxurious surrounding can not fill an empty soul. It’s like a vessel, the slightest crack will cause leaks, it can never be filled. It is not whole. You are a preciou ...

Earlier this year, following an intention to live more consciously, I deemed it the Year of Awakening. For me, I envision a lifetime of conscious living as I more fully awaken to the spiritual being that I truly am. If I'd Only Known

An ordinary, busy day had come to an end. After saying my prayers, I rolled over and dozed off, and before I could find a dream, the phone rang.“Hello,” I answered groggily. It was my friend, Sherry.“Sorry to wake you,” she exclaimed.Instinctively, I knew something was wrong.“What is going on?” I hoped it wasn’t some ...

There Is Always Room For Improvement

When I was twelve my parents bought me a five foot snooker table for my birthday. This turned out to be the best present I was ever bought and I quickly became hooked on the game. My friends would regularly come round to my house for a game and when they were not there I would practice on my own. After a few months a few of us decided to j ...

I Remember When

I remember when the shoes on my feet were too small and hurt my feet or to big they wouldn’t stay on—shoes that another child had worn out already. The clothes that people had given me, outdated and falling apart. Taking what cloths were left after my sister picked through the hand-me-downs and having only a thin worn out coat in the freezing wi ...

Back-Planning For Success

Coming up with new dreams and passions can be fun, easy and inspiring - at least until you sit down and begin trying to sort out how to actually accomplish these wild goals. Suddenly, what seemed like such a clear and well-marked path takes on the aspect of an overgrown and thickly brambled wilderness of dangerous, unseen pitfalls and endlessly ...

Thank You, Mom, For The Good Manners!

A good friend was complaining about her son the other day.“Did you notice,” she started, “how he didn’t wait for me to get my salad before he dove into his?”True enough, the teenager attacked his plate faster than a feral cat. If he knew how to growl, he would have done it.Without manners, we’re no more than animals... ...

The End of Selfless

From a very young age we are taught to be selfless-we are not to consider our own interests over those of another. This ancient ideology does not work in an enlightened society. It's time to move to the next step in our evolution. We had to stay for a while in primary school to learn how to use our innate tools: imagination, calculation, storytelling, reaction. Time

For whatever reason, I often find inspiration for these newsletters at the local post office. Don't ask me why -- I have no idea. But I hear the most interesting conversations from the people in my little mountain town while they're visiting the post office. I'm not eavesdropping -- it's just such a small place, you can't help overhearing the fo ...

Teaching Parents to Choose Not to Drink Alcohol For The Sake of Their Kids

Why would parents who may enjoy drinking alcohol, choose not to partake, for the sake of their kids?Intelligent parents, who want to save their children from the damaging effects of alcohol use, will choose not to drink alcohol themselves.Arguments to prove that point:1. Modeling or example is the best teacher.2. A do ...

I admit that a gourmet chef I am not, but I do enjoy the satisfaction of a home-cooked meal when accomplished without mistakes. Knowledge Puffs Up

Now concerning things offered to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies. And if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know ( 1 Corinthians 8:2 NKJV ).I’m a big advocate of Bible study. I’d wonder about a church that didn’t provide people opportunities to study th ...
